Teach For Kosova's Executive Director, Egzon Gashi, has been selected to the Young Leaders Fellowship for 2022 by the Obama Foundation, which is lead by former president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama.

President Obama, through his Social Media feeds, welcomed the new Fellows and mentioned that he cannot wait to see the results of their collective work.

Egzon happily mentioned that he is ready to represent Kosova and our education system in this globally respected program.

"I’m very excited to announce that I have been selected to this year’s Leaders Europe program at the Obama Foundation, a six-month leadership development Fellowship with 35 other young leaders across Europe. Ever since I was young, President Barack Obama has been an idol of mine; a person who taught me that being thoughtful and empathetic was possible as well as important, even at the highest level. I work to emulate those qualities in my leadership and work with Teach For Kosova" said Gashi.

The Obama Foundation’s mission is to inspire, empower, and connect people to change their world. The Leaders Europe program, which launched in 2020, is a vital part of the organization’s work to engage with young leaders around the world in order to help them gain more skills and scale their work.
