Sovran Berisha studied Management and Economics at RIT Kosova (AUK) and specialized in Public Administration, during his master’s studies at West Virginia State University (WVU), in the United States.
Between 2014 and 2021, he held high-level executive roles in several international organizations that operate in Kosovo’s education sector. Among others, Sovran was a co-founder and Executive Director at Kosovo Career Development Foundation (KCDF). He initiated and led the execution of several high-scale national projects in the field of education, such as the implementation of the career guidance information system, training of public school teachers to meet curriculum objectives for career guidance, uplifting ICT competencies among teachers, to mention a few.
Sovran was also engaged as a senior consultant with international development agencies in Kosovo to help improve education and training services at schools and vocational training centers. During the last two years, Sovran has been running Business Development at KODE Labs where he leads and supports the company's growth globally. With more than 10 years of experience in education and business development, Sovran is well-versed in the current progress and shortcomings of our education system and has, therefore, been a proactive advocate of the necessary improvements specific to aligning the education offer with labor market needs (lack of curriculum relevance) as an important focus.
Sovran is eager to continue doing the same by joining TFK as a board member to support the organization’s very mission for quality education.
